Thole etched her name into Western Dubuque history on Tuesday night, when she became just the fourth girls basketball player in program history to reach 1,000 career points during the Bobcats’ 52-50 loss to Linn-Mar in Epworth, Iowa. Thole finished with 26 points after scoring 16 in the first half.

200 and 400 freestyle relay teams
The Mustangs’ Kyle Powers, Owen Leitzen, Mason Lemm and Logan Westhoff won the Iowa state 200 freestyle relay championship in 1:23.35 on Saturday afternoon in Iowa City. And, for good measure, Westhoff, Powers, Jake Dolphin and Leitzen won the meet-ending 400 freestyle relay in 3:05.04 to secure the first state team title in program history.…

The senior forward scored 21 points to lead the Hillmen to a 93-41 victory over Prairie du Chien on Saturday in Southwest Wisconsin Conference play. In the process, he became the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,198 points. Platteville is 14-6 overall and 7-0 in league play.

Jacob Litterer
The senior scored 23 points in a 68-55 victory at Alburnett on Friday night in a key Tri-Rivers Conference showdown. Litterer leads the Iowa Class 1A top-ranked Defenders in scoring with 21.7 points per game and also averages 6.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 60.9% from the field.

On Friday against city rival Wahlert, the senior became just the fourth player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark in his career. Strohmeyer has averaged 19.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game this season.
