On Thursday, May 7th Isabel, a freshman, broke Maquoketa High School’s previous girls high jump record (a 43 year old record set in 1983 – 5’5”) with a cleared height of 5’6”. This jump also won the River Valley Conference Meet, set that meet record, and moves her into #4 in class 3A. Beyond jumping, Isabel also runs legs in the Varsity Distance Med Relay (which holds the 2nd fastest time in 3A, 4th fastest time across all classes) and Varisty 4x400mR.
The freshman ranks fourth on the Iowa Class 3A soccer scoring chart with 38 points, including 16 goals and six assists, through just 10 games. She trails just two juniors and a sophomore. In addition to soccer, she also runs for the Mustangs track & field team.
The senior leads Wisconsin Division 4 with 25 stolen bases in 27 attempts across 15 games. He is batting .354 (17-for-48) with five doubles, one triple and four RBIs and is 2-1 with a 4.20 ERA and two saves in 15 innings across seven appearances.
