Cayden DeMuth (Southwestern basketball) – The senior scored 16 points in a 69-65 victory over Prentice in the Wisconsin Division 5 state semifinals on Friday and added 13 in a 56-48 loss to No. 1 Reedsville in the final on Saturday. He averaged 11.4 points and 6.2 rebounds per game for the Wildcats this season.
The senior won the 3,000 meters in 10:09.62 to help the Rams to the team title in the University of Dubuque High School Indoor Meet at the A.Y. McDonald Indoor Track. Last week, she also signed to run cross country and track and study engineering at the NCAA Division II Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colo.
Spencer Casey (Cascade track & field) – The junior won the high jump competition at the University of Dubuque High School Indoor Meet at the A.Y. McDonald Indoor Track. He went 6 feet, 5½ inches, which ranks fourth in the state of Iowa, regardless of class.
