I am proud to nominate Gavin Muller for Athlete of the Week consideration in recognition of his extraordinary performance at the recent meet in Iowa City on December 12, 2025. As a sophomore, Gavin showcased remarkable skill and focus by rolling a 288 game, striking in the first 10 frames. He then followed with a 244 game, culminating in an impressive 532 two-game series that currently ranks as the third highest in the state. Gavin’s outstanding individual performance, combined with strong contributions from his teammates, propelled their team to a commanding 3215-3006 victory over Iowa City West. His scores are a testament to competitive spirit and commitment to doing his best. Thank you for your consideration.
Ashley Rowe (Cuba City basketball) – The senior guard reached the career 1,000-point milestone on Tuesday night. Last season, she averaged 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in earning all-SWAL accolades.
Brady Wall, a senior from Maquoketa Valley in Delhi scored his 1000th career point last night. He leads the conference in points with an average of 18.6 points per game. He leads his team in steals and is second on the team in rebounds. Brady is a great athlete, but an even better person and role model. He deserves recognition for his hard work.
